Along with misrepresentation of facts, purposeful omission of facts that would discredit their point of view and many times just plain old outright lying. Just remember this....not all zealots with their clouded judgements are religious based. James Randi comes to mind in regards to logic zealots. We all have our beliefs and if we're to make any progress at all we at least have to be open-minded and vulnerable enough to allow those beliefs to be challenged once in awhile. Looking forward to watching that Tedx talk.Rambutanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16222507842324977549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4307187040250193857.post-37680210462226529062013-09-23T06:04:07.668-07:002013-09-23T06:04:07.668-07:00I agree with the Spartan and it turns out being wr...I agree with the Spartan and it turns out being wrong is a philosophy I've embraced for a long long time :)

I thought the TED talk was great (thought was not a fan of her delivery - but this comment isn't a critique of that so we'll move on).

When I had people report directly to me I often told them it was okay to be wrong. Realizing that you're wrong is the perfect opportunity to learn something and I have yet to meet someone who can't put a bit more knowledge to good use.Andrew Buttershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18129116283463309554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4307187040250193857.post-75425059385066883332013-09-23T04:56:26.808-07:002013-09-23T04:56:26.808-07:00Gordon, great post! To round it off, your link to the TED talk was fantastic and I'm going to share that (and your blog) all day long. Good job, sir.
